Meet Michelle Nixon

Michelle Nixon, Enrolled Agent, joined Gift CPAs in January 2024 as a bookkeeper. Her journey into accounting began in junior high, helping her parents organize receipts for their business. This early exposure sparked a passion for accounting, leading Michelle to pursue business and accounting courses in high school and earn an associate’s degree in accounting from Central Penn Business School. Michelle thrives on working with numbers, finding fulfillment in how they translate into financial statements and tax returns.

Michelle’s approach to bookkeeping is defined by her commitment to maintaining personal connections with her clients. While many tasks can be completed electronically, she prefers direct communication, believing that speaking to clients often leads to clearer understanding and stronger relationships. Constantly seeking new ways to streamline her work, Michelle stays current on the latest industry trends through online continuing education and learning from her peers.

Outside of work, Michelle enjoys reading, listening to e-books, and spending time at the beach. She also volunteers as the treasurer of the Falcon Girls Parent Soccer Club, supporting her daughter’s high school soccer team. In her downtime, Michelle loves watching sporting events with her husband and unwinding with games on her iPad.
